Bremen - Day 2
It was snowing as I got up... took my time taking a shower, shaved and packed all my stuff, it was nice not to have roommates.
I left my bag in the room, and went for a short walk in town.
I walked through the Market that was setting in front of the Rathaus (City Hall) took pictures of the nice Plazas, and then I took pictures of the famous Musicians of Bremen. Then I walk to Dom St. Petri, the town's Cathedral... All I can say is WOW..! I wanted to spend a day inside... It is beyond gorgeous... of course, I didn't find a Cyber Cafe in town that could read SD Cards, so, I had 14 pictures left as I got ready to do my stroll in town... I have to come back to Bremen. There are a few carnivals, fairs a year, and from what I've heard you shouldn't miss them.
And I could take a whole SD Card worth of pictures inside that Church..!
I was running out of time by the time I walked all over the town...
So I headed back to get my bags and take the tram to the train station.
Again, I was 30 min way too early for my next trip.
BREMEN RECAP:
Come for a weekend (Thursday, if possible, through Sunday)
Go to the Beck's Tour
Skip the Football Stadium, unless your team is playing
Spend one entire morning inside the Dom
Go shopping, or at least walk through the two shopping areas... one on the way to the main village from the train station, and the other next to the downtown village.
Visit the old buildings
Go see the Windmill
If you are there in the Summer, take a boat trip
Stay in the middle of town, it's very pretty, or get a bed and breakfast.
